This month's topic: Insight to NFPA: Changes to NFPA 80 and 105

Presenter - Mindy Andrasevits, Regional Director, NFPA

Mindy Andrasevits is a Regional Director with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), providing fire and life safety code support across Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and North Dakota. She brings a diverse background spanning emergency services, executive leadership, private industry, and customer engagement.

Mindy holds a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in Emergency Services Management and has served in multiple roles throughout the fire service, including Fire Chief in Eudora, Kansas; fire investigator and fire inspector in St. Joseph, Missouri; and firefighter/EMT in both St. Joseph and North Kansas City.

Her leadership experience also extends beyond public safety. Prior to her role as Fire Chief, Mindy served as a Regional Director for an international coatings manufacturer, overseeing operations and customer relationships throughout the southwestern United States. In that role, she also managed a major big-box retail account, gaining extensive experience in regional operations, strategic account management, customer relationships, and working across complex organizational structures.

Now based in Kansas City, Mindy draws on her combined experience in emergency services, public administration, regional leadership, business operations, and relationship management to support fire service professionals, code officials, community partners, and other stakeholders. She is passionate about building strong partnerships and helping communities strengthen fire and life safety, code compliance, and community risk reduction efforts.
