Presenter - Mark Chrisman PE, PhD - Health Sector Executive - Henderson Companies

As the healthcare sector executive, Mark coordinates strategy and maintains strong relationships to support Henderson’s healthcare sector clients and partners across North America. Since joining Henderson in 2004, Mark has designed healthcare environments for some of the biggest names in the industry, providing technical expertise and often working in tandem with our team of healthcare specialists at our sister company, Henderson Building Solutions. Mark is heavily involved with many professional organizations, including NFPA and ICC. He is currently serving as on the ASHE Sustainability Committee which helps organizations take meaningful actions to improve the health of all people and the environments in which they live. Mark was also recognized as the outstanding Building Professional on Healthcare Design’s 2020 HCD 10.

Mark is that special rare breed of smart where not only does he love to learn, but he also naturally teaches those around him. His uncanny ability to recall specific codes and uses his immense knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements to help save clients’ money and time on projects. Not only is he book smart, Mark is a natural leader who is constantly inspired by his fellow employee owners. In fact, the only thing this Ph.D. enjoys discussing more than the most recent code updates is his love for good bourbon.
